Craftstone Arts
Jan Barglowski
Jan became interested in cutting gems as the result of finding many gemstones with his family in the mountains of Colorado. After joining the local rock club, he learned to grind and polish cabachons then found his niche with faceting stones. His skills in 3D computer graphics and attention to precision have lent themselves to the art well.
Jan enjoys cutting Colorado stones (aquamarine, topaz, peridot and quartz) but particularly loves to work with garnets from all over the world. Besides natural materials, he finds stones that change colors to be appealing and surprising in their results.
Jan resides in Colorado Springs with his wife and two daughters, all avid Rockhounds!
